All students, interns and researchers working with us are admitted into the Muslim Science Network (MSN) to join their mentors and colleagues. Alongside education in traditional Islamic sciences, you will take a course in Islamic research methodology. At the same time, you will be integrated into the larger team of practitioners and contribute to existing projects.

Yes! We have been blessed with the bounty of using our technical knowledge to advance the Ummah's cause - and our goal is to share that with you. We have active projects in several areas of engineering and are actively working with stakeholders to increase our scope.

Our current faculty and student body don't receive compensation, and have independent sources of income. However, we realize that that's not possible for everyone. We are especially eager to offer paid positions to sincere and talented researchers.

You're asking the right questions! RU is indeed a decentralized, multifocal platform of dedicated Muslims whose success fully hinges on their personal initiative, personal connections and private funds. It is designed to deliberately avoid centralization and maintain institutional resilience even in tough circumstances - we believe this is a model all Muslim institutions should aim towards as a lesson from the post-9/11 'War on Terror'. 

We advise and work together with all Islamic institutions, movements and governments who share our vision.

Righteous people have always been few in number. The Qur'an teaches us that the oppressed minority - through sabr, da'wah and jihad - will eventually triumph:

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمَا ٱسْتَخْلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى ٱرْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًۭا ۚ يَعْبُدُونَنِى لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِى شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ

"Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession  upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them, and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their dīn which He has preferred for them, and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves1 after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient."

Islamic change can only be undertaken by those with no motivation but Divine pleasure: 

رِجَالٌۭ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَـٰرَةٌۭ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙ

"men whom neither commerce nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allāh and performance of prayer and giving of zakāh".

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ يُجَـٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍۢ ۚ

"O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allāh will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, strong against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allāh and do not fear the blame of a critic".

As few as they may be, these great men - though few in number - have the desire to use what Allah gave them to implement His din. We ask Allah to include us among His chosen slaves.
