Despite having immense resources, talent, and potential, the Muslim world is lagging behind in technological self-sufficiency:
🔹 Lack of Technological Independence – Most Muslim countries rely on foreign expertise for defense, healthcare, and development.
🔹 Dependence on Imported Systems – From military technology to medical equipment, much of what the Ummah depends on is manufactured and controlled by non-Muslim nations.
🔹 Brain Drain – the smartest Muslim scientists work for companies and governments that do not serve the Ummah's interests; whether in the West or even in Muslim countries.
🔹Absence of a Unified Engineering Platform – There is no central institution where Muslim experts can collaborate to create solutions specifically for the challenges of the Ummah.
Without strategic engineering, technological leadership, and a structured ecosystem, the Muslim world remains vulnerable, dependent, and behind in global advancements.
RU's Muslim Science Network provides a dedicated platform where Muslim professionals unite to develop strategic, high-caliber solutions that serve the Ummah.
✔ We Research, Design & Innovate – Creating independent, Muslim-led solutions in
✔ We Produce the Ummah's Future Scholars – taking Islamic tarbiyah (spiritual-educational growth) as a basis scientific research, we raise the next generation of Muslim scientists
✔ We Bridge the Gaps – This is not a theoretical project, for indeed knowledge ('ilm) is implementation ('amal). We work with industries, governments, and institutions to build self-sustaining technological ecosystems.
The MSN is an exclusive platform that facilitates the connection of Muslim scientists who specialize in various fields of technology development. We hold events, contribute to active research projects, and provide strategic consulting institutions and government ministries who share our vision.
As part of the Network, we:
MSN and RU are two branches of the same general project.
The university represents the learning platform where Islamic tarbiyah and research methodology are taught.
The network is the human resources infrastructure that integrates researchers, institutions, investors, and companies with whom RU's members conduct research projects.
The MSN currently holds a monthly seminar to facilitate active discussion among its members, RU's faculty, and students.
In addition to our general meetings, MSN's board of trustees monitors curriculum and research development, forms new connections with potential researchers and partners, and considers new proposals on a rolling basis.
